If you are considering self-employment and you are 16-24 years of age, self-identified as Aboriginal, unemployed and out of school, the Aboriginal Self-Employment Program can help you.

The Aboriginal Self-Employment Program can help you with:

Career Counselling

You can work one-on-one with a counsellor to look at your areas of interest, the skills involved in entrepreneurship, and how to gain valuable experience.

Referrals to self-employment resources

We have developed partnerships with local organizations which provide entrepreneurship training and start-up dollars for your business.

Access to the Entrepreneur Resource Centre

Use the entrepreneurship reference books in our Resource Area to help you get started.

Valuable Work Experience

We will set up a placement for you so that you can gain valuable PAID work experience with an established entrepreneur in the community.
