YES Employment Services administers a variety of employment programs. Most of the programs delivered fall under the Employment Ontario umbrella. Provincial funders include the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities, and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. YES also receives funding from Service Canada.
YES partners with Ontario Works to award ten $500 grants to deserving clients annually. YES also awards one $500 scholarship per year to a YES client who is pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship is funded by our own fundraising initiatives.
We are also able to offer a TTY Telephone System for the hearing impaired, and a computer equipped with ZoomText and a 21" Monitor for visual enhancement, thanks to funding from the Trillium Foundation. We continue to enhance programs through local fundraising to provide the best service that we can for the Thunder Bay and Nipigon areas.
