The Job Find Project Job Developers are working
in the community to identify employment opportunities for the participants in the Job Find
Project. These participants will be armed with extensive skills to
prepare them for the workplace. Through the program, they will also receive job
coaching to help their performance once they are on the job.
What you need to know
- Eligible employers will be matched with an employee who has expressed an interest and shown an aptitude for the employment opportunity available.
- Eligible employers will be provided with a wage subsidy up to the provincial minimum wage (negotiated on a case-by-case basis).
- On-going job maintenance instruction for the employee is provided to assist with a successful match
Your Responsibilities
- The employer must have an established payroll system to facilitate regular statutory deductions such as income tax, E.I. And C.P.P.
- The employer must make the participant’s payroll records available to YES Employment Services (YES).
- The employer must have liability and accident insurance.
- The employer must have been in business for at least one year
- The employer must be willing to be monitored.
- The employer must be willing to hire the participant upon completion of the wage incentive program (a letter of intent to hire must be put in writing, and the employer must develop an effective training plan with the support of the Job Developer).
