From 2006-2008, YES Employment Services has employed Owen Marks to research, develop, and deliver a model
of counselling ethics training related to the needs of employment counsellors. With the support of
, The Counselling Foundation of Canada, YES has been provided the opportunity to advance
our training model and to share best practices with employment counselling agencies throughout Ontario.
Training for Employment Counselling (A Practical Guide)
In 2004, YES won the Award for Service Delivery Innovation aimed at improving
customer service. View and utilize the seven counselling practice and theory
training modules that earned YES the ASDI.
This research undertaking is one initiative that attempts to address the issue of youth migration
from Thunder Bay by focusing on gaps in local employment services to this city’s young people.
